Important Scope and Safety Notice

MELD provides education, coaching, facilitation, community experiences, personal-development practices, and information. MELD is not therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry, medical care, medical treatment, crisis care, addiction treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for services from licensed professionals.

MELD facilitators, coaches, group leaders, assistants, and representatives are not acting as your licensed clinician, physician, therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, attorney, or financial advisor. MELD itself does not provide those licensed professional services.

Your use of MELD does not create a therapist-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, financial-advisor-client, or other licensed professional relationship.

You are responsible for deciding whether MELD content, practices, suggestions, prompts, exercises, coaching, or group experiences are appropriate for you. You are encouraged to verify anything you learn through MELD and to consult a qualified licensed provider before making decisions that may affect your health, safety, relationships, finances, legal rights, or well-being.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, psychiatric emergency, suicidal thoughts, thoughts of harming yourself or others, severe emotional distress, domestic violence, abuse, an addiction crisis, or any situation that may require urgent support, do not use MELD as your source of help. Educational and Coaching Disclaimer

MELD content and programs are provided for general education, self-reflection, personal development, relational skill-building, men’s group practice, coaching, facilitation training, and community support.

MELD information may include discussion of stress, emotional regulation, nervous-system patterns, relationships, attachment, trauma-informed principles, somatic awareness, breath, movement, group process, leadership, masculinity, communication, loneliness, and health-related research. This information is not medical advice, mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You should not disregard, delay, or avoid professional medical, mental health, legal, or other licensed advice because of something you read, hear, experience, or receive through MELD.

Your use of MELD is voluntary. You decide what to do with the information. You are responsible for your choices, actions, non-actions, communications, relationship decisions, health decisions, and results.

03

Participant Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

Personal growth, group work, coaching, retreats, somatic practices, emotional inquiry, relational exercises, breath, movement, journaling, embodiment practices that do not involve physical touch, sharing in groups, and other MELD experiences may be meaningful and useful for some participants. They may also be uncomfortable, emotionally intense, physically activating, or relationally challenging.

Possible experiences include strong emotions, memories, interpersonal conflict, fatigue, dizziness, anxiety, grief, anger, shame, confusion, changes in self-perception, relationship tension, or awareness of unresolved issues. These experiences do not mean MELD is diagnosing or treating anything.

By participating, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily assuming the known and inherent risks of personal-development, coaching, somatic, group, online, travel, and retreat experiences. You agree to monitor your own well-being, participate within your limits, stop any exercise that feels unsafe or inappropriate, and seek professional help when needed.

Medical clearance for embodied practices

If you have a medical condition, psychiatric condition, trauma history, cardiovascular condition, respiratory condition, pregnancy, neurological condition, recent injury, history of fainting, seizure disorder, substance-use concern, or any other issue that could be affected by breath, movement, emotional work, travel, group work, or retreat participation, consult a qualified licensed provider before participating.

04

No Guarantees

MELD does not guarantee any specific result. We do not guarantee improvements in relationships, marriage, dating, leadership, emotional regulation, nervous-system state, health, income, performance, confidence, friendships, group outcomes, or life satisfaction.

Testimonials, stories, case examples, research discussions, and participant reports describe individual experiences. They are not promises that you will have the same experience.

05

Crisis, Emergency, and High-Risk Situations

MELD is not a crisis service, emergency service, suicide hotline, psychiatric service, addiction treatment provider, domestic-violence service, or substitute for emergency care.

If you may harm yourself or someone else, or if someone may harm you, call emergency services immediately. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and call 911 for immediate danger. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency number or crisis line.

MELD may decline, pause, or end participation when we believe, in our judgment, that a participant needs support beyond MELD’s scope, creates safety concerns, disrupts the group, violates community standards, or would be better served by licensed professional care.

06

Facilitators, Coaches, and Group Leaders

MELD facilitators, coaches, group leaders, assistants, and community members may offer education, reflection, group structure, prompts, practices, and support. They do not provide clinical diagnosis, medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, legal advice, or financial advice through MELD. MELD itself does not provide those licensed professional services.

Even when a facilitator or coach holds a professional license in another context, that person is not acting as your licensed provider through MELD unless you enter into a separate professional relationship with that person, as a licensed provider, outside MELD.

Participants should not interpret group feedback, coaching reflections, somatic prompts, or educational content as professional treatment or individualized medical or mental health advice.

07

Community Guidelines and Confidentiality

MELD expects respectful communication, good-faith participation, personal responsibility, confidentiality, and care for the group. Participants agree not to harass, threaten, dox, exploit, shame, record, publish, or disclose another participant’s personal information or story without explicit permission.

Confidentiality is a core community norm, but MELD cannot guarantee confidentiality by other participants, online platforms, email providers, meeting software, payment processors, contractors, or third-party systems. Participation in groups, programs, online communities, and retreats includes this risk.

MELD may remove or restrict participants who violate community guidelines, endanger others, repeatedly disrupt the group, misuse confidential information, or behave in ways that MELD determines are inconsistent with program safety and integrity.

08

AI Tools and Information Accuracy

MELD may use AI tools to support drafting, organization, research assistance, internal planning, customer support, and educational resources. AI-supported output can contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or incomplete context.

MELD content, including AI-supported content, is provided for informational and educational purposes. You are encouraged to verify information, check original sources where relevant, and consult qualified professionals before relying on information for important decisions.

Do not submit highly sensitive personal information, medical details, legal details, financial details, or crisis information into MELD forms, AI tools, community posts, or messages unless you understand and accept the privacy and processing risks described on this page and in the tool’s applicable terms.

MELD cannot guarantee that AI-supported tools will be error-free, confidential in the same way as licensed clinical care, or appropriate for crisis, medical, legal, or financial decisions.

MELD is not a healthcare provider or health plan, and information you provide to MELD is generally not protected by HIPAA unless a specific third-party provider or platform states otherwise.

09

Privacy Notice

We collect information you provide, including contact details, account details, purchase information, program participation information, intake form responses, communications, and preferences.

We may automatically collect device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, approximate location inferred from IP address, referral URLs, cookies, and similar technologies.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe, PayPal, or similar providers. MELD does not store full credit card numbers on its own servers.

We use information to provide the website, programs, coaching, community access, customer support, transactions, newsletters, safety, fraud prevention, analytics, operational improvement, and legal compliance.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information with service providers, vendors, legal or compliance recipients when required, and business-transfer recipients if MELD merges, reorganizes, or transfers assets.

No system is 100% secure. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but you use the website and services with the understanding that online transmission and storage carry risk.

10

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether MELD is legally covered by a particular privacy law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, port, or opt out of certain uses of your personal information.

California residents may have rights under California privacy law, including rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing as legally defined, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and non-discrimination for exercising rights.

EEA and UK visitors may have rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To submit a privacy request, email info@meld.community with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may verify your identity before responding.

11

Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies and similar technologies for security, login, preferences, analytics, site performance, advertising, and marketing.

You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies, though doing so may affect site features. Where required, you may manage preferences through our cookie banner or consent tool. Where applicable, we honor legally required opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control.

12

Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use MELD programs, coaching, memberships, and most services unless a specific offering clearly states otherwise and appropriate consent is obtained.

You agree not to break laws, violate others’ rights, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or interfere with the site, upload malware, harass others, dox others, misrepresent yourself, record others without permission, resell MELD materials, or misuse the community.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, endanger the community, or create operational or legal risk.

13

Intellectual Property

MELD content, frameworks, program materials, videos, audio, worksheets, prompts, names, trademarks, logos, methods, manuals, group structures, and related materials are owned by MELD or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws.

You may use MELD materials for your personal participation unless a separate written agreement allows broader use. You may not copy, record, reproduce, train AI systems on, distribute, publish, resell, teach, adapt, or commercially use MELD materials without written permission.

14

Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

Program pages, checkout pages, retreat agreements, coaching agreements, or signed agreements may contain specific payment, refund, cancellation, transfer, deposit, lodging, travel, and attendance terms. Those specific terms control if they differ from this default policy.

Coaching and group programs

Unless a specific offer says otherwise, coaching and group programs canceled more than 7 calendar days before the scheduled program start date are refundable minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations within 7 calendar days of the scheduled start date are 50% refundable. After a program begins, payments are non-refundable.

Retreats and special events

For retreats and special events, event pages and agreements control. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, deposits are non-refundable, and MELD is not responsible for your travel, lodging, airfare, transportation, missed connections, illness, weather, or other personal expenses.

To request a refund or cancellation, email support@meld.community.

15

Affiliate, Advertising, and Research Disclosures

Some links may be affiliate links, meaning MELD may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We aim to disclose material connections clearly, consistent with FTC guidance.

MELD may discuss research, books, podcasts, studies, third-party tools, assessments, supplements, practices, or products for educational purposes. Mentioning a resource does not mean MELD guarantees its accuracy, safety, legality, suitability, or effectiveness for you.

16

Third-Party Links and Platforms

MELD may use or link to third-party sites and platforms, including payment processors, email providers, analytics tools, video platforms, community platforms, scheduling tools, AI tools, forms, document tools, and social media.

MELD is not responsible for third-party content, policies, security, availability, errors, billing practices, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and policies.

17

Release, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree that MELD Community Inc., its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, facilitators, coaches, assistants, volunteers, affiliates, and representatives are not liable for decisions you make, actions you take, actions you do not take, relationship outcomes, health outcomes, emotional experiences, financial outcomes, professional outcomes, or other consequences arising from your use of MELD information, programs, coaching, community spaces, events, or materials.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release MELD from claims arising out of your voluntary participation, your use or interpretation of information, your interactions with other participants, your violation of these terms, your travel to or from events, and your failure to seek appropriate professional or emergency support when needed.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to indemnify and hold MELD harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your misuse of MELD materials, violation of these terms, violation of another person’s rights, unlawful conduct, or actions taken based on your own interpretation of MELD information.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, MELD’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Vendors and independent contractors

MELD works with independent contractors, vendors, facilitators, coaches, and service providers who are not employees of MELD and who act on their own behalf. To the fullest extent allowed by law, MELD is not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, advice, conduct, services, products, or content of any vendor, independent contractor, or third party, including any facilitator or coach engaged as an independent contractor. Any professional services those individuals provide outside MELD are governed by their own terms and their own professional responsibility, not by MELD.

18

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Before filing a legal claim, email info@meld.community with a brief description of the issue and the outcome you are requesting. We will try to resolve the matter informally.

Categories of personal information we collect

  • Identifiers: name, email, phone number, account login, IP address.
  • Commercial information: purchases, payment status, transaction history. Payment card details are handled by payment processors.
  • Internet or network activity: pages viewed, clicks, device and browser info, approximate location from IP, cookie identifiers.
  • Geolocation: approximate location inferred from IP. We do not need precise geolocation for basic website use.

Sensitive personal information

California law defines sensitive personal information to include items such as account log-in credentials, financial account numbers with access codes, and precise geolocation. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. If it is collected, we use it only as needed to provide services, secure accounts, and comply with law.

Do we sell or share personal information?

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share certain information for cross-context behavioral advertising if we use advertising or marketing tools that operate that way. Under California law, that can count as sharing even when no money changes hands. Either way, California residents can opt out.

Participant Acknowledgment, Assumption of Risk, and Release

This acknowledgment applies to Core, Forge, Prime, retreats, coaching, membership, community onboarding, AI coach onboarding, and any intake or registration flow.

I understand that MELD provides education, coaching, facilitation, somatic awareness practices, group experiences, community support, and personal-development information. MELD is not therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry, medical care, addiction treatment, crisis care, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for licensed professional services.

I understand that MELD does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any medical, psychiatric, psychological, trauma-related, substance-use, relationship, or other health concern. I will consult a qualified licensed provider when I need professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.

I understand that MELD practices and programs may include emotional inquiry, relational exercises, group sharing, somatic awareness, breath, movement, journaling, coaching prompts, and other experiential practices. I understand these may bring up strong feelings, discomfort, memories, fatigue, dizziness, interpersonal tension, or other effects.

I agree that my participation is voluntary. I am responsible for monitoring my well-being, choosing my level of participation, stopping any practice that feels unsafe or inappropriate, communicating relevant limitations when appropriate, and seeking medical, mental health, or emergency support when needed.

I understand that MELD does not guarantee specific outcomes in my health, relationships, marriage, work, leadership, emotional regulation, performance, friendships, or life satisfaction.

I understand that group confidentiality is expected but cannot be guaranteed by MELD because other participants, third-party platforms, internet systems, email providers, meeting software, and community tools are outside MELD’s full control.

I understand that if I am in immediate danger, may harm myself or someone else, or need urgent medical or psychiatric support, I should contact emergency services immediately. In the United States, I can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and call 911 for immediate danger.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I release MELD Community Inc. and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, facilitators, coaches, assistants, volunteers, affiliates, and representatives from claims arising from my voluntary participation, my use or interpretation of MELD information, my interactions with other participants, and decisions I make based on MELD content or experiences.

I agree to use MELD materials only as permitted and not to copy, record, publish, distribute, resell, teach, train AI systems on, or commercially use MELD materials without written permission.

By participating in MELD programs, coaching, groups, retreats, community spaces, or services, you acknowledge and agree to this statement. No checkbox, signature, or other action is required for this acknowledgment to apply, and your agreement is not conditioned on any such action.

I have read and agree to MELD’s Legal Center, Terms, Disclaimers, Privacy Notice, and this Participant Acknowledgment and Waiver. I understand MELD is educational and coaching-based, not therapy, medical treatment, crisis care, or diagnosis, and I am responsible for how I use the information and practices.
