"Every fight is a protest for connection.”

– Sue Johnson

Why This Workshop?

We were never taught how to truly connect. Most of us were trained to survive—not to thrive in love.

This free, experiential session is for anyone ready to stop repeating the same arguments and start relating from a deeper, more embodied place. Whether you’re in a relationship or preparing for one, this work will give you the tools to change the cycle, not just understand it.

In one hour, you’ll learn foundational practices from:

  • Hold Me Tight® – the gold standard of emotionally focused therapy (EFT)

  • MELD – a proven method of men’s emotional fluency rooted in somatics, safety, and group connection

Together, these approaches help you create lasting change, not through talking about it, but by practicing what works.

What You’ll Learn

The Real Problem Isn’t the Fight. Understand how emotional disconnection plays out in the body and how to catch it before it escalates.

Reveal the Pattern—Not the Problem. Learn to decode your emotional and physiological reactions. You’ll begin to see patterns, not character flaws, in yourself and your partner.

Interrupt the Cycle. Practice MELD’s 3-step reconnection process and HMT’s Attachment Repair Dialogue. Learn how to move from reactivity to repair in real time.

Discover Your Somatic Signals. Where do you carry disconnection in your body? How does your nervous system respond when someone pulls away, or comes too close?

This Is For You If…

  • You’re tired of working hard on your relationship with little to show for it

  • You want something deeper than tips or tools; you want change you can feel

  • You’re a therapist looking to integrate somatic and attachment-informed approaches

  • You want to understand your partner, or yourself, on a body-deep level

What You’ll Take With You:

  • A Somatic Conflict Cycle Map to understand how fights start in the body

  • Simple but powerful sentence stems for repair and reconnection

  • MELD’s 3-Step Reconnection Practice you can use anytime

  • A link to a guided audio practice from Dalia and Owen

  • An optional invite for a 15-minute discovery session

Meet Your Guides

Together, Dalia Anderman and Owen Marcus have been leading couples intensives, Hold Me Tight workshops, and relationship retreats for over a decade. Their unique integration of somatic awareness, emotional attunement, and relational science helps partners move beyond repetitive, limiting patterns into the deeper current of connection we’re wired for. They have guided hundreds of couples to rediscover intimacy and trust – even when hope felt lost – and have trained dozens of therapists to bring this embodied, attuned approach into their own practice.

Dalia Anderman, LMFT

Dalia Anderman, LMFT, brings over 20 years of clinical experience to her work with individuals and couples, grounded in safe, compassionate, and relationally attuned therapy. She holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University (graduating with honors) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – having studied extensively with Sue Johnson – she is also trained in CBT, EMDR, and experiential therapy methods. Dalia supports couples and individuals through infidelity, loss of trust, parenting transitions, life changes, mood disorders, and the adoption of deeper emotional fluency and relational safety.

In her role as workshop leader and retreat facilitator, Dalia has led the internationally recognized Hold Me Tight® couples workshops in locations including New York, Israel, South Africa, and Costa Rica. She integrates attachment theory, somatic awareness, and emotional-system regulation into intensives designed to transform patterns of disconnection into secure, embodied relationship connection. Dalia’s therapeutic style is active, empathic, respectful of individual values and lifestyles, and rooted in relational repair and growth rather than symptom-management alone.

Owen Marcus

Owen Marcus has spent more than forty years pioneering body-based approaches to emotional connection and relational growth. Trained in somatic psychotherapy and bodywork, he began exploring how emotion and trauma live in the nervous system long before “somatics” became common language. His early work led him to create his first men’s group in 1995—a living laboratory that evolved into a new model of men’s emotional fluency. That work later helped spark the recent men’s movement through EVRYMAN, and continues today through his work at MELD.

At MELD, Owen teaches functional emotional practice – how to read the body’s signals, regulate together, and build trust through somatic awareness and community connection. His current focus, Attune, extends this work to couples and co-ed settings through ROC Together (Relax → Open → Connect), helping partners move from reactivity to repair, from performance to presence. Author of Grow Up: A Man’s Guide to Masculine Emotional Intelligence, Owen brings decades of teaching, mentoring, and embodied research to his mission: restoring coherence to how we live, love, and lead – in our bodies and in relation.

Mobilize the wisdom already living in your body.
